French Way to Santiago de Compostela

Near the Alto do Outeiro, our project proposes a rest for pilgrims, so that after sitting in the shade and soaking their feet, they can arrive lighter in Santiago. We designed this stop with two planes, one terrestrial and the other celestial, like the Camino, which we call of the footprint and of the senses. Built with permanent materials from Ferreiros: water, iron, granite and vines, they wrap the pilgrim in comfort with shade, sound, freshness and food. Superimposed in layers they form two vines, two shaded seats, two fountains, two footbaths and two steps: one over water and the other under a vegetable granary that flies over the path.
