Quartier de la Concorde
The urban proposal for Sector ‘L’ of Concorde responds to the objectives of densification, sustainable mobility, creation of public and green spaces, and noise protection. To this end, it proposes concentrating activities, shops and housing on the edge of Avenue de l'Ain, while the heart of the sector is devoted to a large protected green space and the public school, ensuring ecological continuity with the future neighbourhood.
The project is organised around two main volumes: a linear building to the west and a tower on the northern corner. Both house shops and businesses on the ground floors and a total of 180 homes distributed according to the required percentages between rental and sale. The layout of the buildings defines and protects the public spaces, while allowing for typological diversity in the dwellings, all of which are different, with loggias and acoustic and climatic solutions that ensure comfort and functionality.
The school occupies an inland location, away from traffic, with an L-shape and surrounded by green areas that serve as acoustic and visual filters. Its design concentrates most of the programme in a single building, while the playground and play areas take advantage of both flat and sloping areas, integrating different types of surfaces to encourage varied and safe recreational activities.
